Fallen 03:57
The fog has gone and the dawn is breaking now Sweat turns red upon your face And you can feel the fear twisting its jagged knife No harvest in these fields so that you can survive The killing pulled you to this ground Guns blazing around you Deafening with their sounds Ooo...clouds are gathering Rain is falling with your mother's cries The lilac blooms lie across the open page The words are heavy in the air All prayers to our Father - has he foresaken this place? The lion soon will come to this battle that we face The killing pulled you to this ground Guns blazing around you Deafening with their sounds Ooh...clouds are gathering Rain is falling with your mothers cries

What you carved in stone I'd held to be my own When your love was close to me I felt the silent stare of eyes that I claimed to share When your love was close to me And I found that you were leaving soon You couldn't stay The cruel hand of destiny Was taking you away And there was nothing I could do To keep you here Nothing good that I could say To keep you near All the things you said echo here inside my head Since your love was close to me You'd said that you were leaving soon You couldn't stay The cruel hand of destiny Was taking you away And there was nothing I could do To keep you here Nothing good that I could say To keep you near So the fires burn - the eagles soar with the sun And all the waves crash into the sea

Soft, the rain, that falls upon the ground The lightest touch of sound You grasp your cloak As we move towards the brae And vanish in the haze Across the bridge in the blazing summer light Our men take up the fight There's hopes and dreams To make the final plain And never fight again Here in this shelter we will stay for a while But soon they'll be looking for us So before the dawn we'll start on our way
4.
Butterflies and a poet's song A country fair all summer long No winds breaking this sleep-inducing air Colours blend in endless shades Painted by the morning rays The apple blossom drops upon the ground You read the words of the simple sonnet I feel the presence in my bones And you can see the prettiest sunshine Coming through those trees by the lane Eliah can I steal your soft hands? Wont you read those words once again? Farmer takes his mid-day meal Sitting by his tractor wheel The field he ploughs seems to never end Falls asleep to the humming bees That weave themselves into his dreams I wonder if he'll ever wake at all? You read the words of the simple sonnet I feel the presence in my bones And you can see the prettiest sunshine Coming through those trees by the lane Eliah can I steal your soft hands? Wont you read those words once again?

Sacred King 05:41
We feel the warmth of the summer breeze Rise through the vale See the dancing lines of heat-haze fields Their colours gold and pale Coming closer now with their heads held high The riders have returned And through the air I feel a stir... Bring your Sacred King back to this land Hold fast the faith of all those who take a stand Help us to break this darkness while we can Moving through the fields as we reach the plains The sun beats down And I see the smoke rise in ghostly plumes There's bodies all around I can't take this pain but I have to stand With all those who know A hundred thousand faithful souls Bring your Sacred King back to this land Hold fast the faith of all those who take a stand Help us to break this darkness while we can

And so she sings the 'Song of morning' White light fills the scented air And the words of all the faithful prophets - Well, they sound so fair... This is the whitest stone The city that they spoke of We've come back to our home Ripened fruits of summers harvest Ephahs of grain upon the ground And the Lord who takes his throne before us Wears His sovereign crown This is the whitest stone The city that they spoke of We've come back to our home
8.
In that song he weaves a strange art The truth of his sonnet reaches my heart Never through this storm but the time will be soon I'll find all those feelings he hides in his rooms Through these flames we run and we crawl The letters of his love reach to my soul Coming to the edge of this ocean in blue His words fall around me but their meanings are true In that song he weaves a strange art The truth of his sonnet reaches my heart Never through this storm but the time will be soon I'll find all those feelings he hides in his rooms

about

Across the bridge is the debut release from Red Sonnet.

"Some albums are meant to entertain us while others are riddled with emotion and will make you feel every word and note deep within your core. English folk band Red Sonnet‘s debut album, Across the Bridge, falls under the latter category and will leave you both smiling and shedding a few tears." (Franca G. Mignacca - Bucket List)

"...it is beautiful...wouldn't have guessed it was their first...love the crossover into popular music...they have produced an exceptional album..." (John P. Olsen, 'New Age Music World')

"The melodies are absolutely stunning...I can visualize the comparisons to Enya or Clannad, however I most enjoy the music when I can hear the individuality of the artist, as presented in all of the selections on the CD. A wonderful story in each and a great compliment to my stream casting site..." (Marie Michaels host/owner of 'musicbeyondwords.com')
